In the morning go to the mini club and then to the playground and enjoy some swimming in the afternoon? For the little ones, the heated children's pool by the pool is a great poodle spot. Take your children to the Dordogne in a canoe or pedal boat, which you can rent at the campsite. Or explore the reservoir with a kayak or supboard. After such a sporting day on the water, feeling hungry and not in the mood for cooking? Get pizza at the restaurant, nice and easy. After all, it's vacation!

Lovely villages

Argentat-sur-Dordogne is the closest town that is immediately worth a visit. In the past, the inhabitants made a living by transporting walnut and oak wood. They transported this with special flat-bottomed boats to the winemakers in Bordeaux. Now you will find a nice market and tasty eateries. The exceptional village of Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne is half an hour away from Camping Le Gibanel. The medieval streets all lead to the Saint-Pierre Abbey and when you wander around among the unchanged old buildings, it seems as if time has stood still. A little further away but very striking is the village of Collonges-la-Rouge. All houses are built with red sandstone. That colour gives a very special atmosphere. Roam around and explore all other authentic villages in the area. Camera at the ready!
