What can I expect in Waterpark Oan "e Poel?
In Waterpark Oan" e Poel, everything revolves around water sports and you can rent anything from a sloop to a surfboard. But if you want to have a golf lesson or rent a bike or go-kart, you can do this here. And for your children there is a nice playground and also a fishing and bathing jetty, just pack the life jackets!Friesland
Fancy a getaway? First of course you go to the Kameleon village "around the corner" in Terherne. Your children will immediately want to go on adventurers like Hielke and Sietse. Prepare to watch one of the films or bring a Kameleon book as a holiday book? In the surroundings of Oan ‘e Poel there are Frisian villages and towns with history and more. How about a morning to Workum and the Jopie Huisman museum (the autodidacte painter), to Makkum for the Makkummer pottery, to the Zuiderzee town of Hindeloopen for the costumes and painting or to Leeuwarden, which in 2018 was Europe's cultural capital for good reason ? Don't forget to taste Fryske dúmkes, sugar bread and orange cake ... also nice as a souvenir from beautiful Fryslân!
