The town itself is an important fishing village so a visit to the Musée de la Pêche is a must-see, but not before exploring the charming stone-fortified town of Ville Close. A little further afield lies Château de Keriolet, a 15th castle noted for its gothic architecture.

Leave Camping Pommeraie de l'Océan in the opposite direction to Concarneau and you will stumble upon the enchanting town of Pont-Aven. With idyllic riverside walks, you can follow in the footsteps of renowned artist Paul Gaugin who fell in love with this picturesque village. A day walking the streets, sampling delicious cuisine in the numerous restaurants and perusing the shops is a day well spent. Pont-Aven also plays host to a vibrant flower show in August.
