The clean refreshing air, verdant green countryside of Languedoc-Roussillon and soft melody of the cicada create a peaceful ambiance around Campsite Ensoya , a serene site in the south of France . The blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea kiss the Occitanie coast close by, while lovely lakes provide a brilliant playground for activities in the outdoors.
A stay at Ensoya is all about exploring the local area, where a diverse landscape sprawls out before you. After enjoying some ping-pong and traditional French petanque onsite, why not hire a bike from reception and venture into the greenery of the local area. Feel the blissful breeze in your hair while you whizz past the lagoons, before heading down to the inviting sands of Port-la-Nouvelle beach.
On another day, saddle up for some horse riding through enchanting forests or look out for your favourite animal at the nearby zoo. Peaceful walks and coastal cycling trips will fill your days with freedom and a true sense of adventure.
Port-la-Nouvelle is the best place for campers to find restaurants, bars and shopping options, so they should venture there when they fancy dining out or buying ingredients for self-catered meals in the accommodation. As BBQs can be hired from reception, a trip to the meat aisle of the local supermarket is recommended.
With a lush green setting, the campsite has designed the emplacements very well to merge seamlessly into the environment. Enjoy the immersion into nature from the comfort of your mobile home that features a good range of facilities and spacious living areas.
The campsite is positioned near a scattering of lagoons that form part of the Narbonnaise Nature Park. Several outdoor activities are possible here, from scenic walks around the lakes to swimming in them. The area also boasts vineyards and extends to the shoreline to include a few scenic beaches.
One for the kids, the excellent Sigean African Reserve is a safari park with several animals on show. On the other side of the lakes, the town of Narbonne makes for an interesting day trip. Enjoy sunny days on the town’s eponymous beach before visiting a few cultural attractions, namely the Abbaye de Fontfroide Monastery, Saint-Just et Saint-Pasteur Cathedral and Canal de la Robine.
