Nestled directly on sunny shores of the Mediterranean Sea and overlooked by the Albères mountains of the famous Pyrénées range, Campsite Le Roussillonnais sets the scene for blissful beach breaks in the charming Catalan portion of France. Blessed with fantastic facilities and a natural environment in 11 hectares of fragrant pine trees, the site lies a couple of miles from the popular seaside resort of Argelès-sur-Mer.
While the campsite doesn’t have a swimming pool, holidaymakers have access to a gorgeous sandy beach directly on the fringes of the resort. Planning a day by the sea is easy, and once there, campers can enjoy worshipping the sweltering Mediterranean sun from soft golden sands and swimming in calm waters. The location of the campsite also provides guests with the opportunity to indulge in a variety of water sports including stand-up paddle boarding, sea kayaking, windsurfing and much more.
Le Roussillonnais has plenty of activities available to holidaymakers, particularly children who can enjoy the fun, freedom and excitement of the Kid’s Club. A selection of sports can be played on the multi-use sports ground, and competitive games of table tennis can be enjoyed on the ping pong tables. Karaoke, theme parties and live shows feature heavily in the site’s programme of evening entertainment.
The campsite has a good selection of amenities such as a restaurant that offers local dishes and familiar favourites, served up with a smile in a relaxed setting. Other convenient facilities and services at the site include a bar, bread delivery service, mini-market, snack bar and ice cream stand.
With a focus on privacy and peace, the emplacements are designed to provide holidaymakers with serene and leafy green spaces. In this relaxed setting, our mobile homes blend seamlessly into the grounds and feature spacious living areas, a selection of useful amenities and sun decking.
Along with lovely beaches and a wealth of restaurants, bars, cafés and shops, the nearby seaside resort of Argelès-sur-Mer has plenty to see and do for campers who venture off the site. The best attractions in and around the town include excellent child-friendly places to visit including Canyoning Park Aqua Park and Luna Park Amusement Park.
Other interesting things to enjoy in the local area include taking a guided tour around the Valley of the Tortoises, horse-riding excursions and burning rubber at the nearby go-karting track. Home to an amazing array of species, Le Tropique de Papillion butterfly farm is a great place to visit with the family, as is the fascinating Dinosaur Museum in Espéraza.
Holidaymakers with an interest in the culture and history of their holiday destination should consider a day trip or two to the interesting town of Collioure or the charming city of Perpignan.
