Whilst it is of course lovely to sunbathe on this beautiful sandy beach and dive into the sea, you are guaranteed hours of splashing fun in the resort’s wonderful swimming complex. Featuring three different pools playfully connected, the swimming area also has a shallow water splash playground. Youngsters will love swooshing down the water slides. The pool is heated and partially covered, so you're always comfortable.

You can relax on the sun beds along the side of the pool or opt for some down time at the wellness area. There is a sauna, jacuzzi and you can book a beauty treatment, so why not pamper yourself while on holiday and relax to the fullest.

Had enough swimming and relaxing? Then it’s time for sports and games! There is a mini club and teen club for the kids and families can have fun together at the ping pong table, bocce court or multi-sports ground. The more daring can also go kite surfing or paddle boarding, and near the campground there is the possibility of golf, canoeing and horseback riding.

As you would expect from a four-star site, there are plenty options for dining and shopping at Le Moulin de L’Eclis. Nice family dining experience can be enjoyed on the terrace of the restaurant in the heart of the campground, where the menu is varied with plenty of options for the kids. Stick around for a drink at the bar and enjoy the evening's entertainment, which typically includes singing, dancing and shows.

If you are planning a picnic, you can buy sandwiches to pack as well as freshly baked goods from the bakery. And for local produce and daily essentials, you need only to walk over to the onsite mini supermarket.

Campsite Moulin de L'Eclis

This four-star campsite is located on the west side of the French coast, in beautiful Brittany. Moulin de L'Eclis is an hour from Nantes and has several lovely coastal towns close by.

From the campsite you can walk right onto the beautiful sandy beach of Plage de Pont-Mahé and there are more nice beaches nearby. A little to the north is Plage Du Palandrin and a little further south is Plage De La Marche Aux Boeufs.

Hiking and walking excursions are also possible in the local area. Follow the route along La Rando de Pen Bé or the Dune de Pont-Mahé. This extensive nature park has plenty of hiking trails, picnic areas and bird watching spots.

Jump in the car for a day trip to the quaint French city of Nantes. Both the Château des Ducs de Bretagne and the Cathedral of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul are beautiful structures. Admire these historic buildings while strolling through the city with occasional stops at a nice terrace. Also visit the Jardin Des Plants and the mechanical elephant called Les Machines de L'ile.
