For holidaymakers who love to relax in the bliss of nature and enjoy time away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, we invite you to spend an outdoor escape at 4* Campsite Millau Plage in the Midi-Pyrénées. Perched on the banks of a river close to the quaint town of Millau in Aveyron, the resort is blessed with a fantastic range of amenities and a simple, rural ambiance.
Beautiful vistas of the surrounding river and green hills are rewarded to campers who spend time at the swimming complex, which consists of a main pool, paddling pool with splash features and a spacious sun terrace. As the river flows gently alongside the campsite, guests can indulge in water sports, swimming, fishing or riverside picnic excursions.
With football and basketball possible on the multi-sports pitch, as well as table tennis, there’s plenty for lovers of sports to enjoy onsite. In the surrounding area, the best activities include river canoeing, stand up paddle boarding and paragliding. Youngsters will find a multitude of things to do while staying at Millau Plage, including bouncing along to the playground, joining the Mini Club and enjoying rides at the Pony Club.
Dining options at the campsite are very good and include a restaurant and pizzeria that offers a varied menu with good options for children. The resort has several other convenient amenities including a mini market, bakery and half-board service. Bike rental can be arranged at reception, so exploring the local area is easy.
Our accommodation options include well-equipped tents for a rustic camping experience, and modern mobile homes for that extra level of comfort. Not matter what accommodation type you choose, you can count on shaded, peaceful and private emplacements.
A nice selection of shops, restaurants and cafes can be found in the town of Millau, as well as a handful of tourist attractions such as the Millau et des Grands Causses Museum and the botanical gardens of l'Hôtel de Sambucy.
The standout attraction of the local area is the Millau Viaduct, a stunning example of engineering. The viaduct stretches across the river Tarn, earning the achievement of a record-breaking cable stayed bridge.
In the wider region, other notable sightseeing opportunities include exploring the striking gorges of the Tarn Valley and discovering the rock labyrinth of Le Chaos de Montpellier le Vieux.
