Set in the lush green sprawls of the Calvados department in the north of France, 4* Campsite Le Fanal offers holidaymakers with the ideal place to escape, and a wonderful jumping off point for adventures in Normandy. The site itself is compact and lies close to the seaside resort of Isigny-sur-Mer and the L’Aure River.
Surrounded by lush vegetation and areas of green grass, the swimming pool complex is the perfect spot for splashing in the water and basking under the sun. The complex features two heated pools, one indoor and one outdoor, along with few water slides. A variety of water sports are possible on the lake that can be directly accessed from the campsite.
Whilst the resort is primed for chilled out stays with a real focus on relaxation, there is plenty on offer for active holidaymakers. Sporting recreations at Le Fanal include tennis, boules, football and volleyball, while child-friendly activities are arranged at the mini club. Youngsters who enrol can enjoy face painting, treasure hunts, DIY workshops and shows.
Dining options at the campsite include a restaurant that offers service with a smile and provides a menu filled with traditional dishes along with familiar favourites. The restaurant also operates a takeaway service, so campers can order fast food options such as pizza, burgers and salads.
Nestled in the quiet areas of the 8-hectare site are the resort’s emplacements, which are best described as private, peaceful and calming. Our mobile homes offer comfortable and spacious living areas, an assortment of useful amenities and sun decking for family time.
The local area around Le Fanal is well known for its involvement in WW2, with famous Normandy landing beaches located a few miles away from the campsite. There are several memorials and museum dedicated to the events of 1944, which provide fascinating insights.
A stay at Le Fanal affords holidaymakers with the chance to visit one of France’s most popular and picturesque attractions; Mont Saint-Michel. The iconic medieval walled commune features a majestic gothic abbey and age-old ramparts that exude history.
Bayeux has a fantastic historic centre as well as its world-famous, UNESCO-listed tapestry depicting the Norman conquest of England in 1066.
