Camping am Blanksee

The main draw of this particular campsite is the adjoining lake where you can swim and splash around to your heart’s content. Take a canoe or kayak with you, paddle out on the water and let yourself be enchanted by the peaceful and idyllic natural surroundings. Why not teach your children how to fish? In the sanitary building there are plenty of showers and toilets as well as a baby changing room, washing machines, driers and places to do your washing up. You can enjoy snacks and cold drinks on the small terrace of the kiosk. If you would like to use your own kitchen they you can find essential ingredients at the campsite’s shop.

At Blanksee Campsite you will stay in luxurious Tendi Safari tents with a comfortable overall size of 35 square metres (plus outdoor terrace) that are suitable for four guests. An extra dome tent can be set up to sleep an extra two children outside upon prior registration. The Tendi Safari tents are well furnished with comfortable beds and simple but fully equipped kitchen blocks. Rustic benches and garden chairs provide ample seating places. The natural landscapes surrounding the campsite include Blanksee Lake and the Wüstemoor Nature Reserve where you can go on long walks or bike tours during which you might, with a bit of luck, spot a deer, otter or a rare kingfisher. Culture enthusiasts will find plenty to see in in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern including the town of Plau am See, Lübz, Parchim and Schwerin. In Plau am See, a town known for its health resorts, there are over 150 timbered houses under conservation in the old town. A trip to the castle museum is a must. The medieval town of Lübz has a historically impressive town centre and several listed sights including the water mill, the municipal tower and the wash house pier. The walled town of Parchim is dominated by the impressive St George and St Mary churches. Go on a day trip to the Hansa Leisure Park on the Baltic Sea or to Schwerin, the state capital of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern where you can marvel at the magnificent palace and neighbouring lake.
