The lively city of Cagliari lies reasonably close to the campsite, and makes for a nice day trip. Highlights of Sardinia's capital city include the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption and Saint Cecilia, Molentargius - Saline Regional Park, the Archaeological museum and the Castle of San Michele.
