Occupying a serene setting a little over 50m from beautiful blue blag beaches of the Costa del Azahar, Campsite Playa Tropicana sets the scene for sunny outdoor escapes in Spain. With long stretches of glistening sandy beaches and scenic coves carved by the warm waters of the Mediterranean sea, the location of the campsite near the village of Alcossebre is a paradise.
As the name suggests, there is a tropical ambiance that flows through the campsite, most strongly felt at the palm fringed pool complex. Blessed with gorgeous views of the sea, the complex consists of a paddling pool for youngsters and a main pool for competent swimmers. An indoor pool and air-conditioned Jacuzzi bath complete the aquatic offering of the resort.
On dry land, a range of activities are offered to campers including sports such as table tennis, basketball and volleyball. If the heat of the midday sun gets too much, holidaymakers can cool off in the lounge area whilst enjoying billiards, table football or darts. Along with a vibrant Kid’s Club running in Easter and summer, children can swing by the onsite playground.
As the sun begins to set on the campsite, holidaymakers are encouraged to dine well at the restaurant that serves up local and international dishes in a relaxed terraced surrounding. For a more casual dining experience, the snack bar and pizzeria are the places to go. Once fed and watered, guests can settle into a night of entertainment that usually features games, quizzes, live music and shows.
To ensure that holidaymakers have convenient and comfortable stays, our accommodation options include modern mobile homes with spacious living areas and sun terraces. Lying in peaceful and private emplacements, our accommodation acts as the perfect home away from home.
Playing host to a selection of bars, shops and restaurants, Alcossebre is the closest town to the campsite. Days out by the sea are easy for campers on a stay at Playa Tropicana, as the site has direct access to a beach. There are several other blissful beaches up and down the coast, with special mention going to the glorious sands at Torreblanca, Oropesa del Mar and Benicassim.
A different set of activities is offered to holidaymakers who venture further afield. Hiking or biking is one of the best things to do in the picturesque Sierra de Irta National Park. For staggering vistas of the entire region, campers should head to the summit of the El Pinar Mountain.
The nearest city is Valencia, and is definitely worth a day trip. Spain’s third largest city has streets lined with art nouveau buildings as well as Gothic and Renaissance monuments which beg discovery alongside its wonderful museums and shops.
