Mountains in the north

The giant mountains of Italy can be found in the north of the country. If you enjoy walking or cycling then we would certainly recommend Northern Italy. Alpine trees can be found in the province of Piedmont. Whilst in Turin Aosta you can admire the baroque architecture with its views of the snowcapped peaks in the background. In the surrounding rolling vineyards world famous wines such as Barolo are made. Also the well known delicacy- the white truffle comes from this area.

From Dolomites to Po Valley

The Dolomites with its rugged mountain peaks and lush green areas. Between Trento and Venice are the crystal clear lakes of Monti Pallidi. In contrast the golden sandy beaches of the Adriatic coast are a lovely place to relax, with Venice in the distance. The flat Po Delta area is wonderful to explore by bicycle.
