Or visit the local markets in nearby towns, where you can taste the atmosphere of the Italian lifestyle. And with the Swiss border just a stone's throw away, a day trip to Switzerland is also a snap. You will probably do the children more pleasure with a day at Acquadventure Park in Baveno (about 15 km), where you can do various outdoor activities in addition to water slides. The tastiest ice creams can be found in the neighbouring village of Intra at Gelato d’altri Tempi. You can walk there in 25 minutes along the lake.
