Polders and water

North Holland is full of windmills, tulip fields, green fields and vast meadows where cows graze and the flowers bloom. Water surrounds the area  with the North Sea,  IJsselmeer lake, the basin of Naardermeer and lake Loosdrecht. The region is therefore the ideal destination for surfers and cyclists alike. Along the coast you can experience the beautiful dunes, sandy beaches and the lively seaside resorts of Egmond aan Zee and Bergen. We recommend visiting on  foot or by bicycle as you have many area’s to explore. From Holland Dune Reserve in Wijk aan Zee, Schoorl and the National Park of South Kennemerland.

Postcard

Lake IJsselmeer overlooks the beautiful city of Hoorn and Enkhuizen - the "city herring."  Haarlem is also worth a visit. The city has many    quaint shops, museums and the bustling Grand Place. Amsterdam, known as the "Venice of the North" for its canal system, is one of the most popular tourist destinations. With its traditional houses, windmills, warehouses and workshops. Zaanse Schans will give you a good idea of ??what it was like to live in the area in the 17th and 18th centuries.
