Camping activities in Lérida

As mentioned at the beginning, this region is ideal for outdoor sports. The Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park is made up of two main valleys and several side valleys. Here you will find many springs, torrents and lakes, as well as swamps, waterfalls and, of course, countless hiking trails and cycle and mountain bike routes. The 2,428 m high pass Portarró d'Espot, which connects the two main valleys, is very popular. The western entrance to the park is located in the Vall de Boí, which also has many art-historical treasures to offer, such as the nine Romanesque churches with their beautiful murals. In the north of the valley is the Caldas de Boí thermal spa, whose springs come out of the ground at temperatures of up to 56 degrees Celsius. Relax with the spa and healing treatments on offer there.
But it's not just the mountainous part of this region that can be used for hiking and cycling. Especially in spring, when the fruit trees on the plantations awaken, it is simply beautiful to hike or cycle through a sea of pink blossoms.

Those who need a little more adrenaline in their blood should take part in a balloon ride or cave hike, but mountaineering or climbing, mountain biking, kayaking or rafting are also possible here. Extreme sports such as canyoning, hydrospeed, pointing or hang-gliding go one better. The 7 golf courses in the province of Lleida offer a more leisurely pace.

The Lleida-Costers del Segre wine route is a must for wine lovers. Take a walk along this route and visit the many wineries and taste traditional and new white and red wines.

Sightseeing fans and those interested in culture should of course visit the provincial capital Lleida. The city is located on the River Segre. The pedestrian bridge takes you to the beautiful old town and offers you a beautiful panoramic view of the city center. The cathedral La Seu Vella, whose construction began in 1149, towers above it all. Other sights in this city include the bell tower, the large cloister, the royal palace Castell del Rey and the Castell Templer de Gardeny. The wide riverside street and the main street of the old town are great for a stroll, where you will also find a nice café for a refreshing break.
