Camping Le Village du Port

There is plenty of water fun for the whole family at Camping Le Village du Port. The campground has two beautiful pools, both with separate children's pools with a water depth of 40 cm. The main pool, open in July and August, has a pool in the middle and varies in depth from 1 to 1.6 meters. Here you can swim in the 13.5 x 6-meter pool overlooking the Dordogne River or relax in the outdoor spa. The pool is naturally heated by the sun and loungers are available for those who want to enjoy the sun. You can also swim in the Dordogne River, where you can enjoy the clear waters of the gravel and grass beach, fish or canoe and kayak up and down the river.

If you've had enough of the pool, there are plenty of other activities to try at the campground. You can play padel, volleyball, table tennis or have a game of basketball, tennis or bocce. Children will love the playground with swings and slides. The campground also offers relaxation with wellness facilities such as sauna, balneotherapy and massage. If you get hungry, you can grab a bite to eat with a glass of wine in the beautiful old barn, where there is also a store selling local specialties such as wine, honey and cheese. The campground also offers breakfast and picnic baskets for those who want to start the day pleasantly or go on an excursion.

Camping Le Village du Port is perfectly located if you want to experience the authentic French environment. Just 11 kilometers away is the historic pilgrimage town of Rocamadour, where the town seems to grow out of the rocks. You can also take a trip to Sarlat (38 km) or Martel (10 km). The area is known for its amazing caves, of which the Lacave caves (6 km) and Gouffre de Padirac (18 km) are among the most popular. The Dordogne also offers a variety of water sports, from leisurely boat rides to rafting. If you are traveling with children, a trip to the Gramat zoo or the Prehisto Dino Park amusement park is also recommended.
