Camping Moulin du Bel-Air

As soon as the suitcases are in the accommodation, there is usually only one question: "Can we swim?" And prove them wrong! The heated pool at this campground is truly the beating heart of the property. The pool is wonderfully spacious, so it's great for swimming a few lengths before the rest of the family wakes up.

For the little ones, there's a safe paddling pool. It's great to see those little ones splashing carefree in the shallow water while you keep an eye on them from the shore. What makes this place extra special is the view. As you float in the water, you look out over the rolling hills and dense forests. This really gives you that ultimate vacation feeling.

Just a stone's throw away, a babbling brook flows. Here the children can endlessly build dams or use their landing nets to hunt for small fish. There you can laze around on the lawns and sandy beaches, while the kids have fun on the playground equipment in the water.

At Le Moulin du Bel-Air, the activities  are not "over the top," but rather very pure and fun. The children will make friends at the table tennis tables or on the multi-sports field in no time. Soccer, volleyball or a fanatical game of tennis; it's all possible here. And let's face it, there's nothing like an old-fashioned game of boules with the neighbors while the sun slowly sets.

In high season the entertainment team is ready to shake things up. From creative craft hours in the morning to sports tournaments in the afternoon. You won't have a problem with them! And when night falls, everyone gathers at the cozy snack bar. Here you can get the tastiest fresh pizzas or crispy fries. Don't feel like cooking? Then sit down on the terrace for a cold wine or an ice cream.

For the daily necessities, there is a small camp store where you can pick up your fresh croissants and baguettes in the morning. The smell of fresh bread wafting across the campground is truly the start of the day for me. The team at the campsite is incredibly friendly and happy to help you with tips on the best hiking trails or the best spots in the shade. You notice by everything that this is a family business where people work with love.

You are here in a region that seems straight out of a fairy tale book. The Lot is known for its beautiful "plus beaux villages de France. A 15-minute drive will take you to Gourdon, a beautiful medieval town with narrow streets and an amazing view over the valley. A walk to the top is a must, also for the kids, because the ice cream on top tastes extra delicious!

Would you like to spend a day visiting the famous Sarlat-la-Caneda? This city is about 30 kilometers away and is an absolute must. The Saturday market is an explosion of colors and smells. Taste the local cheeses, admire the handmade items and enjoy the street musicians. It is crowded, but the atmosphere is unique and incredibly photogenic.

For the little adventurers, a visit to the caves should not be missed. The caves of Cougnac are nearby and are impressive with their prehistoric drawings and glittering stalactites. It is wonderfully cool inside, which is a nice escape from the midday heat. If you prefer the water, rent a canoe on the Dordogne or Lot rivers. Quietly paddle downstream while seeing castles perched on the rocks; you'll never forget that. In short, pack your things and come enjoy the good French life at Moulin du Bel-Air!
