Presentation of camping Pomport Beach
Camping Pomport Beach is a family campsite in the heart of the region, located centrally just 10 minutes drive from Bergerac airport which is connected by several low cost airlines. Immediately upon arrival you will notice that this campsite is different to others. It begins with the welcoming owner and his wife, who really do make you feel at home. And to add to that the new swimming facilities and large lake which is nearby. Surrounding the campsite there are many destinations for a day out... how about the historical centre of Sarlat or visiting caves of Lascaux?
Water Fun
Camping Pomport Beach is a paradise for water lovers. As a guest, you can benefit from a wonderful swimming lake including pedal boats and canoes, and a stunning sandy beach. But the attraction for 2016 is the all new swimming pools with slides, a paddling pool and a terrace with sun loungers. There is also a heated indoor swimming pool.
Historic villages and towns
Surrounding the campsite there are several attractions, including the Château de Montbazillac, the Abbey of Cadouin and Périgord with its many relics featuring the history of the Middle Ages. Lovers of good wines come here; the region has a great reputation and history of wineries. The medieval town of Sarlat is always been a popular holiday resort with visitors from all over the world.
Culinary Experience
France has a great variety when it comes to food and drink, which is especially true for the Dordogne area. The people of this region have a passion for everything they do concerning eating and drinking. An average dinner here consists of no less than five and even seven courses and takes a few hours to prepare.
