Camping Moulin de Campech

Fancy a refreshing dip? The pool is located in a quiet part of the campground and is heated from May to mid-September. You swim here in peace,  without bombs or diving boards, in a pool that rises to 2 meters deep in the middle. Around it is enough space to relax with a book, a drink or just nothing at all. Prefer water in nature? The campsite is right on the river and a lake, where you can fish or just enjoy the view.

Camping Moulin de Campech is all about enjoying simplicity and conviviality. The heart of the campsite? The old mill, where you will find a cosy bar and restaurant. On the terrace, you look out over the water while enjoying local dishes and a good glass of wine. ’in the afternoon, the bar is ready with a cold drink, a good conversation or a game of pétanque with your neighbours. And although there is no large-scale entertainment programme, it never feels dull here. Kids have fun with other kids, parents find peace under the trees or head out into the surroundings. The atmosphere is casual and social: you meet old friends and make new ones.

The Lot-et-Garonne is a hidden gem for those who love peace, nature and culture. Immediately nearby are charming bastide towns dating back to the 12th century, old French fortified towns which invite you to stroll, browse markets and enjoy a terrace in the sun. In Casteljaloux, 10 kilometres away, you will find everything for a fun day out: markets, thermal baths, a swimming lake and plenty of stores. Wine lovers can indulge in Buzet-sur-Baïse, Leyritz-Moncassin and Cocumont. Here you can taste delicious local wines, often directly from the producer. Still a little further south begins the Armagnac region, with distilleries that often hospitably open their doors for tours and tastings. Golfers are also spoiled for choice: there are two 18-hole golf courses a short distance from the campsite. Or simply head out by bike or hiking boots for a tour through the green heart of Aquitaine.
