Camping La Riviere

Water is everywhere at this campsite – and that's what makes ‘m so wonderful! In the middle of the grounds is a nice pool overlooking the hills. Not too big, but just right for a refreshing dip while the kids whizz down the slide. For the little ones, there is a shallow paddling pool with play equipment, so they too can splash around safely.

But the real charm? That‘s in the river that flows alongside the campsite. On hot days, this is theéplace to build dams, paddle or go on an adventure with a net. Bring an inflatable boat and float along the water with the kids – chances are you will encounter dragonflies and small fish. The river is shallow and calm, perfect for hours of play or just cooling off after a hot afternoon in the sun. Fishing enthusiasts then cast another rod in one of the 2 lakes along the campground, and who knows, you might catch a carp or wild trout.

At Flower Camping La Rivière, it's all about friendliness and fun for the whole family. During the day, it's bustling with activities: from crafts in the mini-club to sports tournaments for the older kids. The kids can't wait for the evening program to begin – from music nights to dance parties under the stars. And parents also enjoy themselves just as much.

The playground with its bouncy castles and climbing apparatus is a nice place where children can expend their energy, while you enjoy your coffee on a bench. And on the sports field, spontaneously arising games of soccer and jeu-de-boules competitions between young and old.

Got hungry? On the cosy terrace of the restaurant, you can enjoy a pizza from the wood-fired oven or a fresh salad with local products. For your daily shopping, there is a small camp store where you'll also get delicious fresh baguettes in the morning. The atmosphere is friendly, everyone greets each other – it feels like you are staying in a small holiday village.

There is also plenty to do outside the campsite. Just a 10-minute drive away is the medieval town of Forcalquier with its market full of local delicacies, handmade soaps and lavender products. Highly recommended on Monday mornings – you must have been there!

For families with action in their legs, Adventure Parc is a 25-minute drive away: a climbing park among the trees where kids (and parents!) swing from tree to tree. Or visit the mysterious Gorges d’Oppedette, an impressive gorge where you can take beautiful walks – sturdy shoes!

On warm days, the Lac des Buissonnades in Forcalquier is a wonderful destination. Here you can swim, ride a pedal boat or just enjoy a picnic on the shore. And if you fancy some city fun, historic Manosque is just 20 minutes away. Stroll through the streets, enjoy an ice cream and take a look at the local market stalls.
