Camping Pégomas

On hot days, the pool at Camping Pégomas is theé place where families gather. The spacious pool is surrounded by loungers, palm trees and colourful oleanders. Children jump, play and swim while you relax in the shade or enjoy the view of the Alpilles hills. For toddlers, there's a separate, clear water playground with some fun props where they can play and splash safely.

Because the campsite is small in size, the pool remains pleasantly quiet, even in high season. No queues for slides or crowded pools, just that relaxed holiday feeling that every family member enjoys. Ideal for cooling off after a visit to the village or a walk in the area.

At Camping Pégomas, you will enjoy the fine French outdoor life. No overcrowded entertainment programmes, but rather that relaxed atmosphere where children themselves are given the space to play, ride bikes or make new friends. The playground is centrally located, so you always have an eye on them. And in the evening? Then they play another game of bocce with the neighbors or you watch a simple but fun evening activity together.

Every morning you get fresh croissants and baguettes at the reception. It doesn't get any fresher than this. At the campsite bar Chez Titi, get a coffee, a nice drink or an ice cream. And for those who don't feel like cooking, get something from the food truck. Also nice: there are several restaurants in the village. From pizzerias to cosy French bistros: you're in the right place. Tip: on Tuesday evening, there is live music on the square. The atmosphere is nice and French!

There is also a small camp store for your daily groceries. Not big, but handy if you forgot something. The staff is very friendly. They are happy to give you tips for outings, restaurants or walks in the area.

The location of this campsite is real gold. Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is a picture of a town. Narrow streets, cosy terraces, boutiques and a wonderful weekly market on Wednesdays. Everything is within walking distance! No need to plan or get in the car, just put on your slippers and go.

For a day of adventure, drive less than 30 minutes to Avignon, the city of the famous bridge and the imposing papal palace. Or hop in the car with the whole family to Parc Spirou, a cheerful amusement park ideal for children under 12. Still got energy to spare? Then the climbing park in Mallemort is a must.

Do you prefer to get out into nature? The Alpilles are literally around the corner. Put on your hiking boots, bring your picnic, and you'll walk só into the hills. Along the way, you will spot olive trees, lavender fields and maybe even a flock of sheep with a shepherd. Don't forget the archaeological site of Glanum, impressive én educational for the kids.
