As soon as the sun shows itself, the pool is theé place where everyone gathers. The outdoor pool is nice and spacious and refreshing on hot summer days. But where do the kids find the échte fun? That's the slide! It's not super big, but it's just exciting enough to slide down again and again. For the little ones, there is a separate paddling pool. Clear, shallow and safe, so you can relax on a lounger while you watch the youngest splash around with a bucket of water.

And for those who prefer to feel sand between their toes, just a few minutes' walk from the campsite, there is a nature reserve with a nice lake. No mass tourism, just nice and quiet. Bring a picnic basket, build sandcastles or look for tadpoles at the water's edge. Cool off in the shade of the trees and then return to the campsite for an ice cream.

At Eurocamping Vessem, you never have to wonder what you are going to do again today. Get up with fresh bread from the camp store (even the croissants are crispy), then hire bikes from the reception and set off through the woods. Or, just stay at the campsite, because a lot is happening here.

For the children, there's plenty of entertainment. In high season, the animation team organises craft afternoons, treasure hunts, sports competitions and even ghost tours. The playground is clear and challenging, with trampolines, swings and a large climbing apparatus.

Teenagers can go to the sports field for a game of soccer or volleyball. And when night falls? Then join the whole family at the little restaurant near the entrance. No star menu, but delicious fries, pizzas and Brabant cosiness. There is even a small bar where you can have a drink as a parent, while the kids do one last round on the square. 

Fancy getting out and about? Good news: there is a surprising amount to do in the Vessem area! Less than half an hour away is Safari Park Beekse Bergen. A day among giraffes, lions and zebras – your kids will still be talking about it weeks later. Or how about Attraction park DippieDoe in Best? Ideal for families with younger children: uncluttered, cheerful and lots of fun, indoor én outdoor.

Do you prefer some culture and city atmosphere? Eindhoven is less than a 25-minute drive away. There you can stroll through markets, discover the interactive Philips Museum or just go shopping. On Saturdays, the regional market in Eersel is a must, with fresh cheese, honey from the beekeeper and strawberries so sweet you'll lick your fingers.

And after such a day on the road? Then coming home to the campsite is extra nice. Just take off your slippers, feet in the grass and fire up the barbecue.
