Sorrento itself is about 1.5 to 2 kilometres away, ideal for a stroll through narrow streets, an ice cream in a square or an evening strolling past stores and terraces. Near the campground is also Bagni della Regina Giovanna, a natural sea bathing resort near the remains of a Roman villa: a special outing for families who like to swim as well as see something of the area. Fancy nature? Then hit Punta Campanella, in the protected coastal area of Massa Lubrense, with beautiful views and hiking trails along the sea. And those who want to add a day of history to their camping holiday can easily travel from Sorrento on the Circumvesuviana to Pompeii.
