Camping Free Beach

Swimwear on, towel under your arm and ah – that's the rhythm at Camping Free Beach. Just 500 metres from your accommodation is the beautiful, wide sandy beach that is exclusively open to campsite guests. You walk there through a cooling pine forest, and once there, the sea awaits you with open arms. Ideal for a refreshing swim or a sandcastle competition with the kids. Extra nice: there is a beach bar for ice creams, cold drinks or a simple lunch.

At the campsite itself, there are also two lovely swimming pools. The shallow toddler pool is perfect for the little ones: clear, safe and with plenty of room for splashing fun. There is also a deeper pool where older children can swim and play. The pool area feels orderly and cosy, so you can always keep an eye on them.

Camping Free Beach feels like an extension of your backyard, but with a splash of Tuscan sunshine and endless activities. For younger children, there's a large playground where they'll soon make holiday friends. In high season, sports tournaments and creative workshops are organised daily. Think craft hours, mini-discos and cheerful theatre shows. For the sporty types, there are soccer and volleyball fields, and if you want a moment to yourself, the forest next to the campsite is perfect for a quiet run or a bike ride.

Evenings, the campsite comes alive with entertaining activities. From singing performances to shows where your kids dress up and perform – boredom is not an option here. And got hungry after such’s active day? The campground has an attractive restaurant with finger-licking good food. The pizzas are thin, crispy and come steaming out of the wood-fired oven. You can also sample local Tuscan specialities here. And for a quick errand, you just walk to the mini market where you'll find fresh bread, fruit and other necessities.

Who says Tuscany, says beautiful villages, rolling hills and delicious food – and all that is at your fingertips here. Near the campsite is the charming town of Castagneto Carducci, picturesquely perched against a hill. Stroll through the narrow streets, taste local wines or enjoy a terrace overlooking the Tuscan countryside.

Only 12 kilometres away is a huge water park with slides, whitewater slides and swimming pools – a dream day out for the whole family. Even closer, you will find Cavallino Matto amusement park, where you and younger children can scream with joy on roller coasters or explore quieter attractions. For families who love culture, there are also several historic towns in the area where you can wander through alleys together and enjoy a scoop of artisanal Italian ice cream.
