Camping Taïga Bassegoda Park

When the Catalan sun is at its zenith, Taïga Bassegoda Park offers plenty of opportunities to cool off. In the middle of the campsite is the large, inviting outdoor pool, surrounded by a spacious lawn with sun loungers, where you can relax with views of the verdant mountains. For those seeking a more natural bathing experience, the Muga River runs alongside the campsite. Here, over the millennia, water has carved out the magnificent Gorgues de la Muga, natural pools and rocks where children and adults alike can plunge into crystal-clear fresh water, right in the heart of nature.

Facilities include modern sanitary facilities and a well-stocked store where you can buy everything from local specialties to camping gear. The restaurant serves authentic dishes from the Empordà region, to be enjoyed on the pleasant terrace. For children, there's a large play area and a dedicated club with activities such as treasure hunts and creative workshops, while older children can have fun in the games room with arcades, billiards and table soccer. 

With more than 240 kilometers of marked trails right from the campsite, there's no shortage of opportunities for hiking and mountain biking in the mountainous terrain of the Alta Garrotxa. An absolute highlight is a visit to the nearby Albanyà astronomical observatory, where you can get up close to the mysteries of the universe. If you fancy a day out, the historic city of Figueres with the famous Salvador Dalí Museum is only a short drive away, as are the magnificent beaches of the Costa Brava or the charming medieval town of Sant Llorenç de la Muga, reachable in less than an hour.
