Camping Caledonia

As soon as you see the pool, you'll know enough: this is where you're going to really relax. The spacious outdoor pool at Camping Caledonia has shallow sections as well as a spacious sun terrace with loungers. Perfect for escaping the heat of the Spanish sun. You can already feel the relaxation sinking into your shoulders as you dangle your feet in the water, while the kids enjoy playing with the inflatable toys just available at the pool.

For the little ones, there's a separate 5-meter children's pool, shallow and safe. From sliding to splashing, anything goes. And while the kids play, you can relax in the Jacuzzi. It's not heated, but with those Spanish temperatures, you won't notice. Eight people can fit in it, but to be honest, it is especially wonderful for the two of you to float there for a while when the kids are at the miniclub.

The beach, by the way, is just a few minutes' drive away. A morning building sandcastles by the sea, and in the afternoon, back to the pool? That's just the reality here. And you get used to it very quickly: that feeling of the warm sun on your skin, wet hair and laughter of children playing in the background.

Boredom is truly impossible at Camping Caledonia. Every day there is something different to do. There is an active animation team that provides life from the moment you get up until late at night. The mini-club is a hit. Face painting, crafts, games ... kids line up every morning.

For older children (and their sporty parents), there are plenty of sports fields: soccer, basketball, volleyball and even paddle tennis. Not to mention the zip-line and archery, where the teens go wild. Everything is free to use, and even the sports equipment is available at the reception desk (tennis balls excluded).

There are several playgrounds scattered throughout the campground, and even inside, there is a game room with table tennis and billiards. When the sun goes down, the evening program begins. From live music to shows and game nights, there's no getting bored.

And then the restaurant…Wát a discovery. You eat tapas and homemade dishes in a cosy, family atmosphere. Both on the terrace and inside s a feast every time. Don't feel like dining extensively? Then just take something to go with your mobile home or tent.

Camping Caledonia is perfectly located for trips in the region. Just a 10-minute drive away is beautiful Tarragona. There you can stroll through Roman ruïnes, cosy streets and eat the best ice cream of your life (tip: at the cathedral!).

Fancy a day full of excitement and spectacle? PortAventura World is just a half-hour drive away. This is one of the largest theme parks in Europe, with roller coasters, water rides and themed villages. And if you're looking for something quieter, the Aquopolis water park is also nearby, with slides for every age and plenty of places to relax.

In the area, there are also atmospheric villages and fun markets. On Tuesday morning, there is a market in Altafulla, ideal for fresh fruit, local specialities and handmade souvenirs. Or take a walk in the natural park of Tamarit-Punta de la Móra. You'll walk there among the pine trees, overlooking the sea, and end at a small cove where you can plunge right into the water.
