At First Camp Gunnarsö you choose whether to dive into the water from the rocks, float in the natural seawater pool or relax on one of the three child-friendly beaches. For daredevils, there's a 10-meter diving tower, while little ones safely paddle in the shallow end.  Fancy some action? Jump into a kayak, sup or pedal boat and discover the archipelago from the water. More leisurely pace? Choose a rowboat and sail to a deserted bay. All supplies – from paddles to life jackets – are waiting for you. Prefer dry feet? Rent a bike and explore the shoreline, or let the kids race on a pedal cart.

From 'early morning to 'late evening, there is plenty to do. Start your day with a power walk by the sea, let the kids do crafts at the Yessi Club and finish off with live music or a fun camping evening. Sports enthusiast? Challenge your family on the basketball court or play a game of beach volleyball – with a refreshing dip for dessert. A favorite among young and old alike: the adventure golf. Play among the rocks and greenery and see who can call himself champion. Or test your agility on the climbing and obstacle course in the middle of nature. Got hungry? The First Camp Bistro serves lunch and dinner with a sea view. For breakfast or a quick snack, head to the camp store, where you'll score fresh bread, ice creams and local delicacies.

The surroundings of Gunnarsö is at least as surprising as the campsite itself. Just 2.5 km away is the port of Oskarshamn, where you get on the ferry to Gotland, Öland or the mysterious island of BlåJungfrun. A unique way to truly experience the archipelago. A day out? Get in the car and drive to Astrid Lindgren’s World in Vimmerby – a feast of recognition for young families. Or visit the famous Kingdom of Crystal, where glassblowers demonstrate their craftsmanship. Fancy animals and roller coasters? The zoo and amusement park on Öland are an hour's drive away and are perfect for a family day. More close by? Walk within minutes to Oskarshamn with its charming stores, museums and historic streets. Or hit a ball on one of the golf courses nearby, all within a half-hour drive of the campsite.
