Benefits
The Holiday Park Les Chalets de la Chazotte is located in an ancient mountain massif with numerous springs and mountain streams. Enjoy the rugged beauty of nature in the heart of Auvergne. The resort, with its ancient trees and direct lake views, is a real gem for couples, active holidaymakers and families with children. Peace, quiet and tranquillity provide unlimited relaxation.
Experience pure water fun thanks to direct access to the beach at Les Chalets de la Chazotte on the picturesque Retenue des Fades de Besserve lake. This is where the rivers Le Sioulet and La Sioule meet. There are numerous other waters in the area, such as Le Devet and Le Teissoux, which offer welcome refreshment in summer temperatures. Looking for a sporting or action-packed activity? Then you can explore one of the many rivers by canoe or raft.
Holiday Park Les Chalets de la Chazotte is characterised by its modern facilities. There is a playground with a slide, climbing tower and seesaw for younger guests. In addition to free shared parking, the multilingual staff will ensure that your stay runs smoothly. This is the perfect base for hiking and biking in the beautiful countryside of Auvergne. Bistrot La Chazotte is just a few minutes' walk away.
There are so many things to do near the resort that it's hard to choose. Across the lake is the AquaLoisirs recreational park, where the little ones will have a great time. A recommended hike to the Belvédère d'Andrivet viewpoint with its breathtaking panorama also begins here. In addition to Clermont-Ferrand, the city of Limoges is also worth a detour. Here the St. John's Gate is an outstanding example of flamboyant Gothic architecture. Vichy attracts visitors with its impressive opera house and a nationally popular farmer's market. Here you can buy top-quality produce from local producers, such as the Grenoble walnut or a variety of lentil called lentille verte du Puy. In Miremont, you can visit a fortress that dates back to the 12th century. On a hike through the Chaînes des Puys Mountains, you will climb the highest extinct volcano in the massif, the Puy de Sancy. The 1885-meter summit can be reached via two marked hiking trails. The 500-meter altitude difference extends over seven kilometres and is especially suitable for experienced hikers. People with limited mobility and families with small children can reach the summit by cable car. This offers a fantastic panoramic view of the pristine landscape.
