    Benefits

    • In a beautiful summer and winter sports area
    • Wellness park right next to the campsite
    • Playground and pizzeria
    • In the heart of the Tyrolean Alps

In the heart of the Alps, in picturesque Pettneu am Arlberg, lies Camping Am Arlberg. Here you are literally standing with your tent or caravan among the mountains - and you can feel it. The fresh mountain air, the rushing of a stream in the background and the view of green peaks or snow-capped peaks (depending on the season) make this place unique. The atmosphere? Relaxed and convivial. Like being in a small Austrian village where everyone greets each other. This campsite is a fine base for active families who want to enjoy nature and Austrian friendliness.

Water fun at Camping Am Arlberg

Bring your swimming gear, because at Camping Am Arlberg you're in the right place if you like to splash around. Right next to the campsite is the indoor wellness and swimming centre of Pettneu, where you have free access to the pool if you have booked a cabin. Yes, you read it right: free swimming. On the sauna and massages, you get a discount! Ideal on days when the weather is less cooperative or if you just want to relax. If you booked a camping pitch, then the wellness is charged. Remember to check the website, wellnesspark-arlberg.at for opening times.

The indoor pool is lovely, heated and large enough to enjoy bobbing or swimming laps. For the little ones, there is a separate paddling pool where they can play safely. And while the kids splash around in the water, you can enjoy the mountain views from the deck chairs - or perhaps relax in the sauna while the kids have fun.

In the summer, there are also natural mountain lakes and pools nearby where you can hike or bike with the family. Just cooling off with your feet in the fresh water and enjoying a picnic on the shore: that feels like pure luxury.

Facilities and entertainment at Camping Am Arlberg

At Camping Am Arlberg, everything is about the outdoors. There is plenty of room for children to play freely and do their thing. A playground is also there, of course. A game of soccer or volleyball on the lawn? Go!

What makes this campsite so special is that you won't find a large mass complex, but rather that small-scale charm that reminds you of the old days. At the same time, the facilities are modern and well cared for. The washrooms are clean and heated – quite nice, especially in the early or late season.

’In the evening, the campsite comes alive. Families sit together in front of the tent with a game of cards or join the cosy restaurant il Gatto, of the adjacent wellness park. There you can go for a delicious Italian dinner – think pizza, pasta and salads.

Near Camping Am Arlberg

The area around Pettneu am Arlberg is a playground for adventurous families. Get on your bike, put on your hiking boots or take the car and discover the impressive mountain world of Tyrol. From the campsite you walk só into nature. There are routes for every level – from quiet walks along mountain streams to tough climbing tours with panoramic views. Along the way, you will come across mountain huts where you can take a break with a glass of Almdudler and a piece of Apfelstrudel. This is what vacation tastes like!

For some more action, there is a fun adventure park in St. Anton (just 7 km away) with a climbing forest, a summer toboggan run and playgrounds. The kids will love it – and you probably will too. Plus, the free bus to St. Anton stops right outside the campsite door. Ideal!

Do you prefer a day of culture? Then, Landeck comes highly recommended. This town is about a 25-minute drive away and has a charming old centre, a castle with a view én nice stores and terraces. And do you want to see something special? Then drive to the Zammer Lochputz – a spectacular gorge with waterfalls, bridges and exciting stairs. The kids will feel like they're in a fairy tale here.

In the summer, by the way, you often get the St. Anton Summer Card, which gives you free or discounted use of all kinds of elevators, swimming pools and buses in the region. Convenient én fun!
