Camping de Boomgaard

Walk, bike or explore the Meuse by kayak or SUP. You can also choose to water ski on a wakeboard. Cast a fishing rod or check out the great pachyderms on the banks of the Meuse.

The campsite is located directly on the river Maas, where you can take long walks. The centre of Maaseik is just a 10-minute bike ride from the campground. The historic square in Maaseik is the perfect place to learn about history and admire the old buildings. Near Maaseik is the village of Maasmechelen, where you'll find Belgium's oldest private pharmacy, a must-see. 

Nearby the campground is Mynekomplas, a beautiful nature spot where you can see beavers at dusk. There are also several options for water sports, including Whisper boat rentals. Is it raining and you'd rather do something inside? Then you can go bowling or visit the indoor children's amusement park or wellness centre 2 km from the campground, and last but not least, go wine tasting!

Every Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., you can taste wines, which have been awarded multiple times as the best Belgian wine, on the wine terrace or in the renovated Aldeneyck wine bar, accompanied by a tasty cheese and meat board. If you don't feel like cooking, there are several restaurants nearby.
