Head in the opposite direction of the mountains to find a picturesque coastline as well as the scenic seaside town of Porto-Vecchio. Affectionately knowns as the St Tropez” of Corsica, the town has gorgeous panoramic views out over the sea, and the surrounding area is home to several beautiful beaches with spectacular white sand and glistening turquoise waters.
Holidaymakers who intend to hire a car may care to drive south and visit Bonifacio, a picturesque medieval coastal town set into limestone cliffs. Along with a pretty marina, the town boasts a fine selection of restaurants and bars, while the wider area features stunning beaches and coves.
