As the campsite borders the stunning Dordogne, guests can base many activities on or around the meandering bends of the river. Pack a picnic and kayak downstream, taking in the lovely surroundings before hiking back along equally beautiful trails. Horse riding and biking are another great way to explore the river.
Alongside quaint towns and lovely countryside, the local area features many notable points of interest including the hulking medieval Château de Beynac, Calviac Zoological Reserve and the captivating cave system at Grottes préhistoriques de Cougnac. Kids will love a day spend in the tree top adventure parks in the area, namely Forest Squirrels or AirParc Périgord.
The enchanting medieval town of Sarlat with its small winding streets is a short drive from the campsite. Spend a day here wander the town and visiting the Cathedral, Manor Gisson and Fontaine Sainte-Marie.
