Camping Borken am See

Do you dare the challenge? For every age you will find a suitable climbing route in the woods right next to Camping Borken am See. In the outdoor center you can choose between ten different climbing routes that vary in height. For younger children there is a route at a height of 1.20 m. For daredevils there is even a route at a height of 15 m! Join in the craft hours, mini-disco, games and sports tournaments organized by the campground. Or jump, until you can't take it anymore, on the bouncy castle. Take a trip around the lake on a pedal boat. And when you're tired from a day in the open air, treat yourself at the campsite restaurant overlooking the lake. Afterwards, you'll probably fall asleep like a log.

Fancy exploring the surroundings of Camping Borken am See?   The landscape is flat and has great hiking and biking trails. A classic is the '100 Schlösser route' with all sorts of castles, fortresses and mansions along the way. Or spot flamingos in the Zwillbrocker Venn a swampy area home to Europe's northernmost flamingo colony. City sightseeing? Two recommendations. Wesel is a nice fortified town and known by the echoing saying "Who is the mayor of Wesel?". About an hour away is the historic city of Münster, already important in history because of the peace treaty of Münster. Now it is a vibrant (student) city with all kinds of events, a great range of stores, a Picasso museum, a beautiful stately city hall and Münster Cathedral.
