Take advantage of the bicycle rental and explore the picturesque Ardennes. There are even mountain bikes available for the mountainous routes. Camping Oos Heem is located near the Belgian Ardennes, part of the Rhineland Slate Mountains. With its fascinating volcanic landscape, this region offers many attractions for nature and hiking enthusiasts. The Vennbahn cycling path, which connects Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg over a distance of 125 kilometres, runs right past the campsite. The route takes you past low mountain range landscapes, heathland, forests and meadows. Stroll through the surrounding villages and visit Belgium's smallest town: with only 400 inhabitants, Durbuy is one of the quietest places in the country. Thanks to its historic stone houses and winding alleys, the town still exudes a medieval atmosphere. The towns of Liegrave and Malmedy are also worth a visit. Liège is the largest city in the Ardennes and was the centre of the mining and steel industry until the 20th century. In Malmedy you will find historic buildings, cosy cafes and small stores. This city is just a 25-minute drive from Camping Oos Heem. Nearby, you will also find the Born climbing centre, where adventurers of all ages can enjoy themselves.
