Camping De Baalse Hei

The campsite does not have a swimming pool, but it does have a large swimming lake with a sandy beach. The beach and sunbathing area are exclusively for guests of Camping De Baalse Hei. From the campsite's restaurant/bar you can keep in touch with the children from the large sun terrace while they play or swim in the water. It is also possible to paddle or row on the lake.

Camping De Baalse Hei has a large lake where you can fish and sail. There is also a playground, space for various ball games and an extensive entertainment program for the whole family. There are various children's clubs, quiz nights and evening shows during the summer vacations. If you want to stay in shape, you can take advantage of the outdoor fitness.

A small restaurant serving light meals is located at the campsite. There is also a snack bar with takeout options and a bar where you can sample local beers such as a Trappist or a Corsendonk.

Naturally, you can explore Turnhout, which offers plenty of history and fun experiences just 4 kilometres from the campground. You can also head to the larger city of Antwerp, just a 30-minute drive from Camping De Baalse Hei. Enjoy Belgian waffles, locally brewed beer and take-away chocolate as souvenirs. You're also surrounded by the beautiful nature of Belgium, with no less than 5 nature reserves to explore right next to the campsite, such as De Kempen.
