Camping Holidays In Dalmatia

It’s all about the fresh air and sunny beaches on an outdoor escape in Croatia, and there’s no better place to experience this than in Dalmatia. You’ll enjoy the freedom to rest and relax in scenic spots or venture into the rugged landscapes of this Balkan gem.

Our Best Campsites In Dalmatia

An outdoor escape under the glowing rays of the Adriatic sun should be experienced at least once in our lifetime. Opting for a camping holiday in Dalmatia rewards you with long sunny days spent by the azure blue waters of the sea, insightful trips to culturally rich towns and days out in the midst of nature.

Featuring great facilities including excellent swimming pools, recreational grounds, kids clubs, restaurants and bars, our best campsites in Dalmatia are the perfect place from which to explore the Adriatic coast of Croatia. Sleep well at night in your modern and spacious accommodation, you’ll need plenty of rest for the next day’s adventure.

Things to do when camping in Dalmatia

Blissful beach days are typically the first order of the day in Dalmatia, where sun-worshippers can enjoy quaint pebble or fine sand strands and gorgeous turquoise waters. Pack a snorkel to explore the captivating marine life along the coast, or better still, venture into the depths on an exhilarating Scuba diving trip.

Elegantly emerging from the blue waters, idyllic islands invite you to savour sunny days spent exploring their stunning shores and heartland. Brac is one such isle that features an impossibly beautiful beach, while the scenic island town of Trogir is packed with cultural attractions. The verdant and hilly Hvar island is ideal for walking and hiking.

If you can peel yourself away from the lovely coast, you’ll find many treats in the heart of the region, especially the national parks. The lagoons and waterfalls at Krka National Park make for a fantastic day trip, where the whole family can marvel at the beautiful waterfalls that cascade from meandering rivers.

Special mention should go to the town of Dubrovnik, a marvellous medieval town perched on the coast that’s full of surprises and sightseeing opportunities. Explore the city walls before heading into the centre to see the Rector’s Palace, Stradun esplanade and Sponza Palace.

Another city in Dalmatia that is worthy of a day trip is Split, a town that mixes old and new with little effort. Enjoy the restaurants and cafes that take pride of place in the old walls of the city, alongside great attractions such as Diocletian's Palace.

To the north of the Dalmatian coast, the town of Zadar features old roman remnants and nice beaches. Take in the sights on offer at Cathedral of St. Anastasia, People's Square, the Roman Forum and the Sea Organ.
