Camping Kastanija

With the pebble beach right next door, your kids will naturally be all smiles. But even the pools, due to their modest size, feel less ‘imposing’ than the large pools at some large resorts. Small does not mean that there is nothing to do at Kastanija because the children can have fun in the playground. A communal BBQ area,  The adjacent restaurant is happy to spoil you with tasty Croatian dishes. Croatia has a rich culinary tradition with Italian, Greek and Turkish influences. A good mix!   

Think of Istria as red earth, vineyards, olive groves and ancient port towns. From Holiday Park Kastanija you can go in all directions. In the north is Umag a harbour town where the restaurants and stores are situated on the quay around the harbour. In the old tow,n you can still find some old Venetian houses and parts of the city walls. Heading south, you first encounter Porec. Roman remains, a Byzantine basilica, you can tell that Istria has had a turbulent past with different rulers. Rovinj, also in the south, is a charming old town on a peninsula. Walk up through the small streets for the fantastic views and back down to the harbour for one of the eateries. The southernmost is Pula where you will find one of the best preserved amphitheaters in the world. Boredom is not in the cards this vacation at Holiday Park Kastanija!
