On the south coast of the white island of Île de Ré, you'll find Camping Les Grenettes, with surfers Plage des Grenettes known as a super surf spot. The campsite offers everything your heart desires, swimming pools, a water slide, a restaurant with dishes from the local cuisine and the village of Sainte-Marie-de-Ré within cycling distance. Because renting a bike is almost a must, Île de Ré is a fantastic cycling island. Cyclists and walkers are in the majority on Île de Ré, you do not need your car this holiday!
 

 

What can you expect at Camping Les Grenettes?

A day at the swimming pools at Camping Les Grenettes is an easy option.The sunbeds are already ready for you, the children will probably only see you back with that water slide if they feel like an ice cream. You are in the right place here too. Crispy fresh rolls for your breakfast, an ice cream from the ice cream parlour and in the evening the local (fish) specialties from the restaurant. Occasionally a game of tennis to burn some calories and of course you must go to the beach. Learn wave surfing, windsurfing or kite surfing, this is the perfect place!

Île de Ré

You don't have to take your car this holiday because with 100 km of cycle paths along the coast, the salt fields and through the white villages, you see the entire island. Sainte-Marie-de-Ré close to Camping Les Grenettes is an old white village surrounded by vineyards. The most beautiful photos are made in Ars-en-Ré, white houses with traditional green shutters and colourful hollyhocks that stand out against the white walls, beautiful! In La Flotte, the oldest village of Île de Ré, you will find a medieval market. And in Saint-Martin-de-Ré, view the citadel, harbour and charming alleys. Île de Ré is known for its salt extraction, oysters and wine. So take a look at a wine cellar or oyster farm and buy fleur de sel as a souvenir, nice for your home!
