Situated in the estate of a stunning 13th century castle, 4* Campsite Château du Gibanel welcomes holidaymakers to a destination where reconnecting with nature is easy. Volleyball, handball, table tennis and basketball make up the sports offering at the campsite, while kayaking, pedalo boating and stand-up paddle boarding are some of the aquatic activities to enjoy on the lake. In the immediate area around the resort, families can embark on highly enjoyable cycling, walking or hiking trips.

Around Château du Gibanel Campsite

A traditional town with well-preserved architecture and charming streets, Argentat-sur-Dordogne is the nearest town to the campsite and perches itself on the bends of the Dordogne. Campers who visit the town will find a good selection of shops and restaurants.

Rocamodour, one of the region’s most visited towns, is accessible from the campsite for holidaymakers who have a car. A day trip to the town should include a visit to the monkey park and the Sanctuaire Notre-Dame de Rocamadour.

The subterranean wonders of the Lascaux caves and Padirac Cave, the medieval town of Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne and the scenic trails of Collonges-la-Rouge are just a few of the other fantastic things to see while holidaying at the campsite.
