The 5-star camping site Homair Château de Fonrives is an action-packed holiday destination in the Dordogne. It is set in green surroundings on the grounds of a typical French chateau. With excellent facilities, a colourful water park and a wide choice of accommodations, the campsite is a wonderland for an outdoor escape in the heart of rural France.

The beating heart of Château de Fonrives is the campsite's magnificent swimming complex. Here, there are heated lagoon-style outdoor pools and an indoor heated pool. There is also a paddling pool and no less than six magnificent water slides. The entire water area is complemented by a spacious sun terrace and leads to a tranquil wellness centre where you can get massages and relax in the sauna.

Despite its rural location, the campsite has a lot to offer in terms of activities. Play various sports such as soccer, tennis, volleyball, basketball and table tennis. Or compete with family and friends during a game of miniature golf or petanque.  

Children can clamber around the three on-site playgrounds and ride ponies in high season. For moments of contemplation, campers looking to clear their minds can go fishing.

Château de Fonrives and its accessible staff organise a variety of entertainment throughout the holidays. During the day, there are sports competitions and water games. During the summer, youngsters are encouraged to participate in one of the special children's clubs offered on-site: Mini Club (5-7 years old), Kids Club (8-12 years old) and Teens Club (13-17 years old). The "acro-games" are new this year, as is the multi-sports ground for a game of soccer with and against your new camping friends. 

In the evening, there's plenty to do as well. Enjoy the evening programme with the whole family with live shows on the new stage, music concerts and theme parties.

Enjoy pizza, burgers and salads at the snack bar. The camp store makes cooking for yourself possible.

Château de Fonrives offers a wide choice of accommodations, from modern mobile homes to pitches with electricity and comfortable chalets with terraces. Each option is located in a serene and private spot, so you can enjoy a relaxing stay in the Dordogne.

Near Camping Homair Château de Fonrives

There are fantastic outdoor activities you can do during a camping holiday in Dordogne. Take enchanting forest walks, go kayaking on the river or bike along rural roads. You'll find that the region also has much to offer culturally and historically.

Discover the architectural power of Chateau Monbazillac, a 16th-century Renaissance castle set on spectacular grounds with vineyards producing sweet dessert wine. The medieval fortress of Château de Castelnaud overlooks the landscapes of the Dordogne from its hilltop and offers guided tours where you can see an impressive armoury.

A great way to experience the customs, culture and slow pace of life of the region is to visit one or more of the Dordogne's most picturesque villages and towns. Plan a day trip to Domme, Beynac-et-Cazenac, Sarlat-la-Canéda, La Roque-Gageac, Bergerac or Monpazier.

Other options for a wonderful day out include a trip to the botanical bliss of the gardens at Limeuil and an adventure underground in the underground spectacle of the Gouffre de Proumeyssac cave system.
