In Perpignan, go shopping and have a nice lunch at Place du Major or admire the old town. A favourite of the little ones is Aqualand Water Park near Saint Cyprien. Collioure is half an hour to the south; this old port town inspired artists such as Pablo Picasso. The Pyrenees and the fortified town of Carcassonne are recommended for a day trip. If you can handle a longer car journey then take a trip to Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia.
