Camping Seasonova La Forêt

Between the lake and the forest, camping La Foret is located in Sillé-le-Guillaume, in the middle of the green Sarthe. Families breathe instant peace here: birds instead of traffic, tall trees all around and the shimmering lake within walking distance. Parents plop down with a book, while children are already on their way to the beach or the playground. This camping holiday is all about being outdoors, being together and enjoying it slowly, with a choice every day between lazing by the water or out in nature.

Water fun at camping La Forêt

For water lovers, La Foret in Sillé-le-Guillaume is a hit. A short forest path takes you, after about 400 metres, to Plage de Sillé, the beach on the large recreational lake. Towel down in the sand, grab a bucket and shovel, and the kids can spend hours on the shore. In the clear lake, teenagers take a refreshing dip or jump off the jetty together. Those who like to be active can walk straight to the leisure base "Coco Plage", where the colourful sails of sailing boats and catamarans stand out on the water. Here you step into a canoe or kayak, explore the lake while paddling or opt for a relaxing trip on a pedal boat. If you prefer to stay on dry land, find a spot in the shade of the tall pines along the shore, while the kids want to go down the zipline one more time. At the end of the day, an ice cream or drink at the Coco Beach Café tastes extra good, overlooking the setting sun over the lake.

Facilities and entertainment at camping La Forêt

At La Forêt in Sillé-le-Guillaume, daily life is all about playing outside, relaxing and doing fun things together. Young children run around safely in the fenced playground, build sand pies in the play corner or invent their own adventures among the trees. Older children and teenagers seek each other out at the volleyball court or the bocce court, where spontaneous tournaments soon arise. In less clement weather, the fun moves to the indoor play area with table tennis, table soccer and large wooden board games, where the whole family can join in a game of life-size Four in a Row. In high season, the entertainment team provides sports activities during the day, treasure hunts in the forest and creative workshops, while in the evening, themed evenings, concerts and family quizzes provide a cheerful end to the day. For a great start to the morning, parents get fresh bread from the bread service or the small camp store, where basic groceries are also available. Fancy a pleasant evening? Then join guests at the tapas bar or order a board of local delicacies to eat together outside.

Near Camping La Forêt

The surroundings of La Forêt in Sillé-le-Guillaume invite you to go out without spending a long time in the car. Right around the campground is the vast forest of Sillé, with marked hiking and biking trails for all ages; strollers and balance bikes can be taken along on the trail. If you like viewpoints, drive to the Mancelles Alps, where winding streets, old stone houses and impressive rock formations converge at villages like Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei and Saint-Léonard-des-Bois. Just 3 kilometres from the campsite, the medieval castle of Sillé rises above the town: during the summer months, knights, jugglers and craftsmen come to life here during animations and events, a feast for curious children. Nature lovers plan an evening guided walk in the nearby forest, where in September the belling of red deer sounds - a moment that families won't soon forget. If you want a day of city atmosphere, drive to Le Mans with its beautiful walled old town, museums and famous race track, a nice change after all the forest and lake adventures.
