The resort of Les Sables d'Olonne lies close to the campsite and along with a lovely beach and seafront restaurant, the town has some great attractions such as the Sables d'Olonnes Zoological Park, Museum of the Holy Cross Abbey and the L'Armendèche Lighthouse. Child friendly attractions in the wider area include Dunes Park Aquatic Park and Aquarium de Vendée.

Campers who have their own transport are well placed to explore the Vendee region and some of its best sightseeing opportunities, such as the dramatic Puy du Fou medieval theme park.
