You can meet all the 'big five' - lions, tigers, giraffes, gorillas and rhinos at the Beekse Bergen Safari Park which makes a fantastic day out. Simply cycle from the park or hop on the free 'Ostrich Express' land train, which leaves from the mega-playground. The animals in the safari park are well-cared for and have plenty of space to freely roam around, although they may well investigate your car! When arriving at the park, you will receive an 'Attractiepass' which is amazing value for money as it also includes visits to seven other nearby and exciting destinations, such as the Aqua Zoo in Friesland and a bird sanctuary in Lelystad (not for those who have booked a pitch only).
