Our Best Campsites on the Adriatic Coast Italy

From sunny destinations near to the famed resort of Rimini to stunning campsites perched within reach of captivating Venice, you’ll have many options for enjoying a camping holiday on the Adriatic Coast in Italy.

Pitching up on the Italian side of the Adriatic Sea will afford you the opportunity to enjoy both beach holiday moments with insightful and inspiring side trips into the cultural highlights of the region. On the peninsula of Cavallino-Treporti, we have a number of great campsites including Marina di Venezia and Sant'Angelo Village that feature awesome aqua complexes and access to the beach. If you book a stay here, you have the added bonus of being just a boat ride away from the city of Venice.

Further down the coast, you can find peaceful and pleasant places to stay at Mare E Pinta and Tahiti, 2 campsites that occupy lush surroundings between the town of Ravenna and Isola della Donzella. You’ll be well placed to explore the seaside and inviting lands of Emilia Romagna.

Things to do when camping on the Adriatic Coast Italy

With a heart-warming climate, serene atmosphere and gorgeous sandy beaches giving way to gentle waves of the Adriatic, it’s a good bet that you will spend much of your stay by the sea. Young campers will relish days at the beach with their bucket and spade as they compete to build the best sandcastles.

If you haven’t tried water sports before, then this is the place to get your feet wet. There are plenty of aqua acitivities along the coast including sea kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, jet skiing, sailing and lots more. You’ll find quite a few water parks in the area, with the most popular being the superb Aqualandia in Jesolo.

In the lively resort of Rimini, visitors can enjoy a stroll down the pretty promenade before finding their perfect spot on the sandy beach. Escape the sun for a while by taking in some cultural sites such as Ponte di Tiberio, Sismondo Castle and the Malatestiano Temple. For the kids, be sure to swing by Fiabilandia amusement park or the novel attraction that is Italia In Miniature.

Enjoy the inviting waters and long stretches of sandy beaches on the Cavallino Treporti when you stay at one of our campsites near Venice. You only have to take the boat across the Venetian Lagoon to arrive at the Floating City, where you can explore its many attractions. We recommend a visit to the Saint Mark's Basilica, Doge's Palace and Piazza San Marco, while a gondola ride allows you to see the Rialto Bridge, Grand Canal and Bridge of Sighs from an interesting perspective.

Verdant green landscapes not too far inland from the coast can be explored on a hiking or biking trip. The verdant green surroundings of the Delta del Po National Park are ideal for a day of walking and taking in the lovely flora and fauna. It’s also possible to spend a day in the mountainous microstate of San Marino, where climbers of Monte Titano are rewarded with amazing views from Guaita Tower.
