Who does not dream of a bay with a long pearl-white sandy beach on a crystal clear sea? Welcome to Centro Turistico San Nicola in the 'trail of the boot', the peninsula Garagano in Pugila. Get your camera at ready for the medieval neighborhood of San Nicola: Peschici. This 'pearl of Gargano' is striking because of the typical white houses with gray domed roofs. The old white villages, the beautiful bays and great beaches, not for nothing is this peninsula favorite with the Italians themselves!
Everything at San Nicola takes place on or around the beach. . Both the bar and the restaurant are on the beach. Enjoy a nice breakfast with a sea view, a cool drink or ice cream in between. Every morning there are day trips by boat from the beach of San Nicola. Along the beautiful bays, sea caves, white rocks over bluer than blue sea water. A 'must' is the crossing to the maritime nature reserve Isole Tremiti, the archipelago in the Adriatic Sea, which you can see from Peschici. In the interior of Garagona, the Foresta Umbra (the shadow forest) is a beautiful primaeval forest. Here you will find coolness, dear, wild boar and age-old trees. Another photogenic white limestone town is Vieste, built on a cliff with a historic centre, narrow alleys, stairs, small terraces and beautiful vistas. The peninsula Garagona is so enchantingly beautiful, sometimes you do not believe your eyes!
