The lakeside area has a sandy beach, so you can enjoy lazing under the sun and playing beach volleyball and beach football.

As well as all the things to do by the lake, there are a handful of sociable activities offered at the camping including sports such as tennis, table tennis and petanque. For children, there is a colourful playground and a grassy area where they can enjoy football. And in July and August, children aged between 4-12 years old can enrol in the fun and freedom of the Mini Club. In the evening during high season, the entertainment offering includes theme parties and plenty more family-friendly shows.

What would a holiday in Italy be without the chance to chomp down on mouth-watering pizza or to wind your fork around fresh spaghetti? On the water you can try a variety of aquatic activities, while the shores around the lake are ideal for picturesque walking and cycling trips. The woodlands of the local area creep up the slopes of the marvellous mountains and are also wonderful places for hiking and biking.

A lovely way to discover the lake is by enjoying a boat trip across the glimmering waters of Maggiore, before arriving on one or more of the stunning islands that emerge from the blue waters. The Borromean Islands are one such group and are reachable from the shore town of Stresa. One Isola Bella, you can explore the island’s lovely villa, while the beautiful botanical gardens of Isola Madre are also worth visiting.

For a different perspective, you may like to enjoy fabulous vistas of the lake from the high mountains of the region. For such dramatic views, head to the the Val Grande National Park, Fondotoce Nature Reserve and Alpe Veglia and Devero Regional Park, where you can also appreciate lovely flora and fauna.
