Camping Free Time

With a main pool for competent swimmers and a shallow water paddling pool for little ones, there’s something for everyone in the swimming pool complex onsite. The play sunflower water feature and slide are a welcome addition to the complex for kids, while adults can enjoy the balmy climate of the region from the comfort to the spacious sun terrace. Prefer the beach? From the campsite, you have access to the beautiful blue flag beaches of the Etruscan coast. As the campsite is located close to the coast, there is ample opportunity for holidaymakers to spend time on the beach. Along with numerous bars, restaurants and shops, the popular resort of Marina di Bibbona features one such beautiful beach.

Active campers have a choice of sports to play onsite including football and volleyball, while keep-fit enthusiasts will love the fact that the campsite has an outdoor gym. For more reflective and relaxing moments, holidaymakers can reel in fish at one of two fishing lakes at the site. Entertainment for guests on a stay at Free Time include a lively Children’s Club as well as evening events that typically include theme parties, discos and karaoke.

Traditional Tuscan dishes along with favourite Italian cuisine is served up at the resort’s restaurant. Campers can indulge themselves with pizza, pasta and a selection of local wines. The restaurant also operates a convenient takeaway service, while the onsite mini market is ideal for campers who like to self-cater.

Less than half an hour's drive away is Il Giardino Sospeso, a climbing park among the trees where young and old can push their limits. From low courses for the little ones to exciting tours high in the air, everyone can join in. Prefer screaming on a roller coaster? Then Cavallino Matto is the place to be. This family amusement park is ideal for a day of fun, with a 4D cinema and attractions for all ages.

Animal lovers will also be in their element. In Parco Gallorose, you can walk past zebras, tropical birds and other unusual animals – a treat for young and old alike. And of course, a trip to the iconic cities of Pisa or Siena is a must. Admire the leaning tower, taste real Italian gelato or stroll through the charming streets. But the town of Marina di Bibbona itself is also worth a visit. With its local markets, cosy eateries and quaint shops, it is pure enjoyment.

As well as exploring the beauty of rural Tuscany, it’s recommended that visitors to the region seek out some cultural and historical attractions. Along with world-famous cities (day trip with a hire car), there are notable towns near the campsite worth discovering such as Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci.
