The river delta is one of the most important wetlands in Spain and is a species-rich breeding and resting area for many bird species. The MónNatura Delta de l'Ebre centre brings you closer to the magic of the delta. For great sightseeing and shopping tours, you can travel to lively Barcelona and exciting Valencia. Closer to home and a little more relaxed is historic Peniscola. Visit the imposing castle, which is located on the highest point of the peninsula, and enjoy the fantastic view. Drive to Vinaròs, just 15 minutes away by car, and find your favourite spot on the 12 km long coastline with 26 beaches and bays. The Bay de la Foradada is particularly good for snorkelling. And be sure to try the prawns from Vinaròs, a culinary speciality that is masterfully served in rice dishes, grilled and in stews. For the ultimate adrenaline rush, drive an hour by car to the theme parks PortAventura Park, Ferrariland and the Caribe Aquatic Park.
