4* Campsite La Torre del Sol is a great campsite for a family holiday on the shores of the Mediterranean close to the lively resort of Tarragona. Sheltered by olive trees, it offers direct access to a sandy beach in the sunny Catalonia region of Spain.

A highlight of the camping is its excellent pool complex, fringed with palm trees. You can take in a splash in your choice of two lagoon pools. There is a giant Jacuzzi and solarium as well as a children’s pool with lazy river.

The campsite offers great sporting activities including tennis, squash, volleyball, table tennis, water polo and beach volleyball. There is an animation programme for the children in high season, including treasure hunts, pool games, sports tournaments and other games and activities.

The resort has a great restaurant located opposite the bar, serving typical Spanish and Catalan dishes. The bar has live music and live shows during high season, but if you are looking for a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere, the onsite pub is the place to go. La Torre del Sol has its own shopping arcade complete with supermarket, newsagents and hair salon.

Around La Torre del Sol Campsite

A stay at la Torre del Sol places campers on the shores of the sun-drenched Mediterranean Sea, so long idle days lazing on the beach are recommended. Excellent for topping up your tans and sandcastle building, the beaches along the coast of the local area are brilliant.

Visit the village of Montroig and see the Joan Miro Center, the fishing ports of Cambrils, the Roman city of Tarragona or the Ebro delta and its lagoons. For thrill-seekers, PortAventura theme park is 15km away and is fantastic fun for the whole family. Venture a bit further afield to explore the fascinating city of Barcelona.
